Welcome to the Seasonal Arc

Over the years I’ve searched high and low for balms for life’s curveballs - in particular for grief, trauma, and chronic illness. I’ve been advised and prescribed so many ‘silver bullets’ by experts convinced of their own superiority. I have deep empathy for anyone who’s experienced the heartache of hope and disappointment in their search for remedies and understanding.

I’ve also been grateful for the one-off sessions with various practitioners that have met immediate needs, or left me with valuable ‘aha’ moments. But I was often left feeling alone, at sea with my new insights. Without consistency of space and support to make sense of them, I lacked the confidence to actually use these insights when the next version of the challenge inevitably arose.

What I needed was someone I could build trust with, who was willing to commit to accompanying me for a while and with genuine care. Long enough to witness both my potential and my shadows, to observe cycles and reflect back to me what they saw with compassion and clarity. I wanted guidance from people who had the humility not to believe they had ‘the’ answer. Instead I hoped someone would help me pursue the right questions with tenacity.

I feel so lucky that I found wise women who invested in me in this way, as I had longed for. I am so grateful for all their work and for what I’ve learned from them. Above all for the conviction they’ve gifted me.

Life is not the exponential upwards curve we are often sold. For most it is actually a winding, spiralling path that sometimes feels more like snakes and ladders. But I’m seeing that the more we can share our trepidation navigating the unknown, the more courage we gain as we see how much is mirrored in the journeys of others. In my experience there is richness in feeling all the textures of life. The most desirable growth is in depth.
